🌞 Union Lutheran Church: Faith in Action This July
Union Lutheran Church’s July 2025 Messenger celebrates a vibrant month of service, worship, and community. The theme “God in Action!” shines through stories from the church’s Western North Carolina Mission Trip, where youth and adults shared their experiences of faith, teamwork, and service. From building homes to sharing nightly devotions, participants described the trip as life-changing—“being the hands and feet of Jesus.”
July is filled with opportunities for fellowship and ministry. The church hosts free mid-week meals to teach cost-effective cooking, supports Mary Hutchens’ mission trip to Slovakia, and collects school supplies for local children in need. The NALC Disaster Response is the monthly benevolence focus, reminding members to serve and pray for those affected by natural disasters.
Other highlights include the Blessing of the Backpacks and Sunday School Extravaganza to kick off a new school year, Homecoming preparations for August, and continued outreach through Little Free Libraries and neighborhood welcome gifts.
Union Lutheran Church continues to live out its mission to be:
“Christ Centered ~ Mission Driven ~ Traditionally Grounded ~ Congregationally Focused.”
